The corrugated iron Palace Theatre. According to Parke Rouse, Jr., this was
located on Duke of Gloucester St. near the Powder Magazine, but I do not know
exactly where. It was opened in 1913 by B. F. Wolfe opposite the Palace Green. It
was sold for $12,000 in 1920 to a joint stock company. Dr. Goodwin bought it (with
the authorization of John D. Rockefeller, Jr.) for $7,000 on July 7, 1927. It was
presumably demolished soon thereafter.
