The greenhouse between the President's House and Ewell Hall (the Science
Building) on January 4, 1932, shortly before demolition. The President's House
and adjoining garage can be seen to the left, while the steam plant's smokestacks rise
behind the Brafferton, which was undergoing renovation at the time. The chimney in
the middle belongs to the guest house of the President's House.

It is unclear when the greenhouse was built, but it is visible in photographs from
the Colonial Echo in 1912 and 1914 but absent in 1902 and 1903 photographs. It is
likely that the greenhouse was built in 1906 along with the adjoining Science Hall.
