Anderson's Motor Court and Restaurant, located at 8550 Richmond Road
(Exit 227 from I-64), Toano. It was also an Esso station. Opened in 1946,
Anderson's Corner Motel still sells Exxon gasoline.

"Who would expect a tiger as your first greeter in the Williamsburg
area? There he has stood, however, for many years announcing the Exxon gas
available at this intersection just off I-64's first Williamsburg exit from
the west (the Toano exit). Exxon, having altered its image, tried to get
the tiger removed, but the community became incensed, and the company
made an exception in this case and allowed him to stay."
